HOV fact of the day:
Hov and the Roc Nation crew have revoked CBS’ license to use his ‘Run This Town’ joint during this season’s NFL coverage. CBS pulled it from opening game coverage to deflect controversy from the Ray Rice domestic violence issue the NFL faced because of Rihanna’s own association with domestic violence. Instead, they ended up penalizing Rihanna for something that wasn’t her fault - and Hov and Roc Nation aren’t going to stand for that.
“Due to the misuse and misrepresentation of Rihanna’s name and participation in connection to CBS’ ‘Thursday Night Football’, CBS was not allowed to license and utilize the song ‘Run This Town’. Roc Nation made the decision to not grant the song’s usage.”

The room fell silent as the musician made his pitch. Jay Z explained what he and Tiafoe had in common: a poverty-stricken upbringing, a compelling personal narrative, and, most of all, prodigious talent. Jay Z encouraged Tiafoe to keep working hard and stay humble. Jay Z went on to explain that Roc Nation Sports doesn’t recruit just anyone; Tiafoe was special.

Maybe next year? If we’re lucky. His guest spots in the past year were all super dope, so hopefully this bodes well.
